This probably doesn’t come as news to many of you who have experienced jam-packed airports and flights, but U.S. airlines carried more passengers in July than ever before in a single month: 72.2 million passengers. Squeeze all of those passengers on to planes and you’ve also got record high monthly load factors (the percentage of seats filled): 86% percent of seats on every flight in July had a butt in them.

Makes you wonder what it will be like to fly in one of the 471 seats on the new "super-jumbo" Airbus A380, the first of which was delivered to Singapore Airlines this week.
Reuters is reporting that Southwest Airlines has raised some one-way fares by $10, following American Airlines’ announcement of a $10 fare increase for most of their domestic flights last week – never a better time to make sure you’re getting the best deal by tracking prices on several airlines using Yapta!
