If you’re planning to head to Southern California this week, you’re probably aware of the terrible wildfires afflicting the region.
USA Today reports that several airlines have announced accommodations for passengers booked on travel to airports including Los Angeles, San Diego, Burbank, Santa Ana, Carlsbad, Orange County, Ontario, and Palm Springs.
American, Continental, Delta, United, and US Airways have all issued policies to handle re-bookings due to the natural disaster.
However, policies vary from fee waivers to accommodation on other flights within a week, to roll-over credits for future travels, so be sure to check with your airline directly if you’d like to modify your travel plans.
JetBlue and Southwest are handling requests on a "case-by-case" basis.
We at Yapta hope that sharing this news with you helps you adjust your travel plans accordingly and send our best wishes to those whose homes are affected by the fires.
